As nutritionists, we get asked all the time about the differences between "nutrition bars," "energy bars" and "protein bars" and what each is designed for. We know there are major differences between the nutrition profile and ingredients between these types of bars, but rather than just give our opinion, we took a close look at the published ingredients and nutritional profiles of 106 bars (including 6 Zing bars), and put them all together to show—"by the numbers"—how they compare to each other, and what each is ideal for.
